ટચૂકડી જા X ખ – ઉદયન ઠક્કર
ગુમાઈ છે ગુમાઈ છે ગુમાઈ છે
કોન્વેન્ટ સ્કૂલના કમ્પાઉન્ડમાંથી,
સંચાલકો અને માતા-પિતાની
બેદરકારીને કારણે, પલક મીંચવા-
ઉઘડવા વચ્ચેની કોઈ ક્ષણે… ગુજરાતી
વાંચતી-લખતી એક આખી પેઢી.
ઓળખવા માટે નિશાની: ‘કાનુડાએ
કોની મટુકી ફોડી?’ એમ પૂછો તો
કહેશે, ‘જેક એન્ડ જિલની’
ગોતીને પાછી લાવનાર માટે
ઇનામ એકે નથી. કારણ કે એ
હંમેશને માટે ગુમાઈ ચૂકી છે.

ઉદયન ઠક્કર હંમેશ નવા પ્રયોગો કરતા જ રહે છે.આ ‘ટચૂકડી’ કવિતા એમણે લીડિયા સિગુર્નીની વેડફાયેલા સમય વિષેની પંક્તિઓ પરથી પ્રેરણા લઈને લખી છે.

સુંદર કવિતા છે… વાંચતી વખતે થોડી હસાવી જતી આ કવિતામાં કવિએ ગહેરી કરુણતા અને કડવું સત્ય ખૂબ જ સરસ રીતે ઘુંટ્યા છે!!!

I don’t agree….convent school na compound thi sanchalako and mata-pita ni bedarkari…..
I am a convent educated but its upto an individual and a person’s own interest, according to her convent education, it is likely he/she would drift to newer heights and challenges….and as far as gujarati is concerned, its always a gujarati’s mother tongue one can’t forget if the family is traditional and not western influenced; and faith, yeah, I guess if the subject is of interest, a convent educated embraces new technology and can read and write gujarati religious info like the kanuda matki fodi….kem and why…and other myth tales …..a simple example of this is ‘shabdpreet’ effort of a convent educated and of coz, my article on all reglions at http://www.kidsfreesouls.com/culture.htm and article written in gujarati by a convent student on kanudo on http://www.kidsfreesouls.com/radhakrish.htm
It is a belief that convent or english mediums are drawbacks in gujarati or hindu religion but I think, with the tech and inspirations of elderly people and self motivation, these very convent people can do wonders! What the need of the hour is that more Gujaratis who are new generation and learned in english or convents or nri guj-english, need to be encouraged to keep the culture live instead of writing such poetry on them! Gujaratis – please change your this kind of attitude and views….!
