લયસ્તરો પર સામાન્ય રીતે હું મારી પોતાની રચના મૂકવાનું ટાળું છું પણ મુકુરભાઈએ ઇ-મેલમાં મારી ગમતી ગઝલનો અનુવાદ મોકલી આપ્યો એટલે અહીં મૂકવાની લાલચ જતી ન કરી શક્યો. આભાર, મુકુરભાઈ !

અડધી રમતથી ઊઠવાની છૂટ છે તને,
તારી શરતથી જીતવાની છૂટ છે તને.
વાતો જો થઈ શકે તો દિલે બોજ ના રહે,
સીવેલા હોઠ લઈ જવાની છૂટ છે તને.
ખાલી જગા સમાન આ જીવન હવે થયું,
પૂરી શકે એ પૂરવાની છૂટ છે તને.
મરજીથી તારી ગઈ છે તું, મનફાવે ત્યારે, યાર!
ખૂલ્લાં છે દ્વાર, આવવાની છૂટ છે તને.
નિશ્ચય છે મારો, હું તને પામું આ જન્મમાં,
ચોર્યાસી લાખ વેઠવાની છૂટ છે તને.
છે તારી મારી વાત, નથી દેહ-પ્રાણની,
રહી રહીને પાછા આવવાની છૂટ છે તને.
આ આંગળીના શ્વાસમાં થઈ શબ્દની હવા,
આશ્રિતને પ્રાણ બક્ષવાની છૂટ છે તને.

Except that of the last stanza liked the rendering in English of the ghazal — let me give the DRAFT of the last stanza in English:
Air of a word is
in this finger’s breathe
In this dependent’s life
to blow prana you are free.

I admire your “quest to translate gems of Gujarati poetry in English.” I have also translated several gems of Gujarati poetry in English. They include the gems of Adil Mansuri, Asharaf Dabawala, Raghuvir Chaudhari, and of course Vinod Manhar Tailor.

Vivekbhai: Now that you have added the following missing following stanza to the original ghazal,
છે તારી મારી વાત, નથી દેહ-પ્રાણની,

the English translation
“It’s not life and soul we talk
But about you and me!

makes sense.
However, the last stanza of your ghazal is not translated. The following is the DRAFT of its rendering in English:
