લાગણીવશ હાથમાંથી… – ચિનુ મોદી ‘ઈર્શાદ’
લાગણીવશ હાથમાંથી જડભરત પાસો પડ્યો,
બંધ મુઠ્ઠી ખોલવાનો ભય ફરી સાચો પડ્યો.
હું અરીસો ધારીને જોવા ગયો મારી છબી,
આ ચમકતી ભીંત પર તો કાળો પડછાયો પડ્યો.
આમ તો પર્યાપ્ત છે બે આંખનો વિસ્તાર પણ,
પૂર આવેલી નદીને પટ ઘણો નાનો પડ્યો!
મોગરાની મ્હેંકમાંથી છૂટવાના યત્નમાં,
કાંચળી છોડી છતાં હું ઘેનમાં પાછો પડ્યો.
આ રિયાસતમાં હવે ‘ઈર્શાદ’ શું વટ રાખવો?
બારી કાપી દૃશ્ય જડવાનો જ જ્યાં ધારો પડ્યો.

મનના અભરખા શુ ન્વ્થી કરાવતા ….
કુદરતને બાથમા લેવાના ફાફા,
આ અભિલાષા છે, તરસ છે.

દરેક શેર દ્વારા કવિ કેટલું બધું કહી જાય છે. .
‘Less is more’ કહેવતને પ્રત્યેક પંક્તિ દ્વારા સાચી ઠરાવે છે..એ પ્રથમ પંક્તિમાં થોડો ફેરફાર કરીને બીજું થોડું ઉમેરવાની ધૃષ્ટતા કરું છું. ..hope I will be excused…
લાગણી અને સમજણ વિનાના હાથમાંથી પાસો પડ્યો
જાણે શકુનિ અને દુર્યોધનના વ્યક્તિત્વનો
સાંધો થયો
ના અબળાની પ્રાર્થના ફળી ના પ્રભુનો
વિજય થયો
જાણે ડરામણી દંતકથા કહી જેમાં
ધર્મનો પરાજય થયો.
મહાવિનાશ ના સર્જાયો પણ સત્યનો
શિરચ્છેદ થયો.
કૃષ્ણા, કુંતી, ગાંધારી ઢળી પડ્યા ને
મંથરા- શકુનિનો
જયજયકાર થયો !!
તંદ્રાનો તંતુ તૂટી ગયો ત્યારે પ્રભુનો
સાક્ષાતકાર થયો…
ફરી એક વાર આવી ધૃષ્ટતા બદલ માફી માંગુ છું…

Layastaro, thanks for sharing this forward from the book The Ifs of History.
During the British Raj time, my dad studied at Divan Ballubhai School in Ahmedabad and his history teacher Divaan Saheb used to talk about the ifs of history while teaching..I was fascinated when years ago ( some 45 years ago) my dad shared this with me.
